Average power is the typical draw over a cooling cycle in Pakistani summers (35–45°C): non-inverter about 1.25 / 1.8 / 2.4 kW for 1 / 1.5 / 2 ton, DC inverter about 0.75 / 1.1 / 1.45 kW. Real use depends on room size, insulation, sun exposure and outdoor temperature.

How to cut your AC bill

  1. Set 26°C. Each degree lower adds roughly 5–8% to running cost.
  2. Watch the 200-unit line. Use our 200-unit tracker to see your daily budget.
  3. Choose a DC inverter for long daily use: it can save Rs 8,000–10,000 a month on a 1.5-ton unit running 8 hours.
  4. Clean the filters every two weeks in summer and service the outdoor unit before May.
  5. Shade the outdoor unit and keep 2 feet of space around it.
  6. Use a ceiling fan with the AC at a higher setting; air movement feels 2–3°C cooler.
