What is FCA?
Each year NEPRA sets a reference fuel cost per unit for every month. If the actual cost of fuel used to generate electricity (RLNG, coal, furnace oil, diesel) is higher, consumers pay the difference as a positive FCA; if lower, they get a negative FCA (refund). It is a one-time charge on one bill, not a permanent tariff change.
